Privacy Policy

Oxymed SA (Pty) Ltd, trading as Oxymed Purifiers (“we”, “us”), is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website, WhatsApp, email and telephone. We process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”).

1. Information we collect

• Contact and order details you give us: name, phone/WhatsApp number, email address, delivery address, company name, and the content of your messages.
• Transaction details: products ordered, invoices, payment confirmation (we never see or store full card numbers; card payments are processed by a PCI‑DSS compliant payment provider).
• Technical data when you visit the website: IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring site, collected through server logs and, if enabled, analytics cookies.
• WhatsApp data: when you message us on WhatsApp, your number, profile name and messages are processed by us and by WhatsApp/Meta under their own privacy terms.

2. Why we use it

• To answer enquiries, provide quotes and process and deliver orders (performance of a contract).
• To provide warranty, repair and customer support.
• To meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting record‑keeping.
• To send service messages about your order (dispatch, tracking, filter reminders).
• With your consent, to send marketing messages about our products. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP or emailing us.
• To secure and improve the website.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed with: courier companies (name, address, phone for delivery); payment providers; our accounting, CRM and email/WhatsApp messaging service providers; and professional advisers or authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal information. Some providers (for example Meta/WhatsApp, Google) may store data outside South Africa; we only use providers who apply adequate protection as required by section 72 of POPIA.

4. Cookies

This website uses only essential cookies needed for it to function, plus, where enabled, anonymised analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site. You can block cookies in your browser settings.

5. Retention

Order and invoice records are kept for 5 years as required by tax law. Enquiry messages are kept for up to 24 months. Marketing consents are kept until you withdraw them.

6. Security

This website is served over HTTPS. Access to customer records is limited to staff who need it, protected by passwords and two‑factor authentication, and stored on reputable cloud services.

7. Your rights

You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to object to processing, and you may withdraw consent for marketing at any time. Contact our Information Officer at info@oxymedpurifiers.co.za. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

8. Children

Our products and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

We may update this policy; the latest version is always published on this page with the date above.
